Specifying durable, lower carbon concrete

This webinar will provide an insight for engineers into ways of specifying durable, lower carbon concrete in accordance with BS 8500:2023. It will explain the relationship between concrete strength and embodied carbon of concrete, as well as clarifying the benefits of specifying 56-day strength. The webinar will also cover the specification of concrete for other specific performance requirements.

This event will be co-presented by Jenny Burridge, a chartered civil and structural engineer who specialises in the structural applications of concrete and Liam Forde, a chartered civil engineer, who recently co-authored The Concrete Centre’s updated guidance on specifying concrete to BS 8500:2023.
